  • Compact Disc (CD) + Digital Album

Relive the 31 March 2018 over and over again with this singing souvenir! Not just because it was Gordie Howe's 90th birthday, no, but 'twas the latest and daresay greatest melding/melting of minds as the saxophone colossus Tony Bevan and his amp'd uke comrade williwaw made a mellifluous din through three short sets of extemporaneous excursions at the Old Hairdressers, Glasgow.

CDs duplicated in Hertfordshire. Sleeves produced in Lancashire. Hand recorded, cut, painted, stamped and assembled in Glasgow.

about

a whole afternoon of hot-hot-hot sax-on-uke sound-action. unbridled and unadulterated spontaneous interactions 'twixt the Tony Bevan on saxes and harmonicas and williwaw on amplified 'ukulele with a smidgen of Qwistle. A most delectable din.

Recording cobbled from two handheld digital recorders in thrilling audio verité style - unedited and unmastered - on the 31st of March 2018 at the Old Hairdressers, Glasgow.

about

williwaw Glasgow, UK

williwaw is a violent squall, and also a sonic malestrom produced by the two hands, two feet, four strings and many forms of amplification under the direction of Wm. McAllister Whitmer.

since a rainy day in Champaign, Illinois in 1994, williwaw has "nimbly piloted his unlikely vehicle into uncharted territory again and again, making pulsating, variegated, beautiful noise" (M. Kendrick, 2006).
